WE NEED YOUR PARTNERSHIP!
We have an extraordinary opportunity to bring the first fully inclusive playground to children with disabilities and their families in New York City.  Imagine a child spending their entire life never playing in a playground.  For many children with disabilities, this is their reality since playgrounds are not typically designed to include them.  Depriving children with disabilities the critical gift of social inclusion through play can impact their future trajectory in profound ways, including their ability to navigate the social terrain in future workplace settings.

YOUR SUPPORT IS CRUCIAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THIS PROJECT!
In order to bring this dream to fruition, we need the partnership of the New York community!  Here is where you can help by connecting us to philanthropists, corporations and foundations who may have the interest and ability to help fund this important project!  Opening up a conversation to the possibilities of support is something every one of us can do, if we take the time to think of who might be in our circle of influence.  If you have someone you would like to connect us with, please have them call Brad Thornton, Sr. VP of International Project Development at (818) 988-5676 or by email at brad@shanesinspiration.org.  Thank you in advance for your time and effort!  You truly do make ALL the difference!

THE PROJECT
The Harmony For All project will provide the first fully-inclusive playground in New York City that uses music, sound, and language as the vehicles for play, delight, and learning opportunities for thousands of children with and without disabilities and their families each year.  Shane’s Inspiration will work closely with project partners to provide vital support, including a conceptual inclusive playground design, project development, and extensive fundraising support. After the opening, family and school programs will be implemented that utilize Harmony For All as an outdoor classroom that engages early-childhood learning, eliminates bias and creates social inclusion for children with disabilities, insuring that this legacy plays on.

THE PARTNERS
Shane’s Inspiration: Formed in 1998, Shane’s Inspiration is an international non-profit organization that partners with communities to design and develop award-winning inclusive playgrounds and facilitate education and family programs with the goal of eliminating bias towards children with disabilities. Their full-spectrum services ensure sustainable social inclusion for children of all abilities in their schools and communities.www.shanesinspiration.org

Too Small to Fail: Too Small to Fail is leading a public awareness and action campaign to promote the importance of early brain and language development and to empower parents with tools to talk, read, and sing with their young children from birth. Today, almost 60 percent of children in the United States start kindergarten unprepared, lagging behind their peers in critical language, math, and social-emotional skills. Too Small to Fail is meeting parents where they are to help them prepare their children for success in school and beyond.

Carnegie Hall: With a deep tradition of social activism, Carnegie Hall has always been a venue for public forums and collaboration.  The Lullaby Project provides at-risk and incarcerated pregnant mothers the chance to work with professional artists to write personal lullabies for their babies. This beautiful act supports maternal health, aids in child development, and strengthens the bond between parent and child.
