My PlayClub ®

is a community outreach program of Shane’s Inspiration that brings children of ALL abilities together at one of our inclusive playgrounds for a play date. Our goal is to Build Common Ground ® between the children through play. We buddy children with challenges with typically developing kids, giving both the opportunity to get to know about each other.

Started in June 2002, originally called Shane’s Club, this community outreach program has been implemented in many of our playgrounds around the globe – from Fort Collins, CO to Bangalore, India.

My PlayClub is free to the public. We provide face painting, arts & crafts, and snacks (but please feel free to bring a sack lunch). We always have great volunteers from local community groups and schools who buddy with children with disabilities. It’s a great way for families to spend the day at the park! If you want to take home anything your child creates then fantastic! We want you to make sure that whatever they create is kept safe, so we may look into getting a laminating machine from places like https://serp.co/best/scotch-laminators/, for example, so we can help you preserve their art ready for that special place on the fridge.

We often have a sponsor that provides entertainment and something special.Our annual sponsors include Disney, Kiwanis Club of Warner Center, Malibu Jewish Center, Osbrink Agency, Westside Regional Center, and St. Francis de Sales Girl Scouts. Sponsor a Shane’s Club Play Date
Your company can bring the magic of play to children of all abilities and their families by providing arts & crafts, refreshments, entertainment, and/or volunteers for the day. Be a Buddy to a Child with Challenges
Kids can be paired up with one of our club members for the day to participate together in the planned activities. They will have the opportunity to get to know someone special, who they might not normally meet. This is a great way for high school students to get Community Service Hours.

Volunteer for a Day
Spend the day helping at this fun event. Volunteers are always needed to assist with check-in, arts & crafts, face painting, snack table…and even to be a Buddy to a special child.
