Friedman Charitable Foundation PDF Print E-mail

The Friedman Charitable Foundation was created in 2006 as a result of the Friedman family deciding to pursue its’ ongoing philanthropic work through the formality of a foundation.

The Friedman Charitable Foundation was founded to support and challenge today’s youth to achieve their utmost, both in education and participation in the community.  The Foundation looks to create new opportunities for increased interaction between physically and developmentally disabled children and their able bodied peers.  In addition, the Foundation encourages youths to attain higher levels of education and use that increased knowledge to advance a greater understanding and desire to improve the society in which they live.

Since the creation of the Foundation, the Friedman family has been an active supporter of Shane’s Inspiration and donated $1,000,000 to the City of Calabasas to create Brandon’s Village.  The Friedman’s continue to support Shane’s Inspiration at events like the Gala and the 10K Run/Walk and were recognized at the 2007 Gala as winners of the Humanitarian Award.

In addition to Shane’s, the Foundation is very active with the Dodgers Dream Foundation and various other projects nationwide.  Also, they are currently working with 71 local high schools in LAUSD to provide scholarships to high school seniors heading to college.

We are proud to know the Friedman family, and to call them our friends.
