Honoring two Women of Inspiration:

ALLISON CAMERON GRAY
Allison Cameron Gray is one of Shane’s Inspiration’s original junior designers. Now an adult, she continues to promote this important mission and remains a participant in our annual Walk & Roll event. Allison was the opening act for comedian Chris Fonseca at the Shane’s Inspiration 2010 Gala, bringing her uniquely brilliant take on life to our guests. Her commitment to advocating for the inclusion of all people includes serving as a member of the CHIME Institute Board of Directors and the SAG I AM PWD Committee. Her career dream is to be part of the entertainment industry. Her resume already features an acting career that began at age 12 and, as a playwright, a Kennedy Center performance which included excerpts from her “Sideshow” script, a satire about disabilities. A stand up sit down comedy artist, she can be seen at local venues such as the Comedy Store and Improv. Allison has also performed with the Tasty Words readers’ salon. Children remember her as the voice of “Ask Alli” in the former Kids on Wheels Quarterly Magazine. She is currently a contributing journalist to New Mobility Magazine and Action Magazine. She is also pursuing a writer’s certificate at UCLA extension with a focus on sitcom. Allison is committed to promoting Shane’s Inspiration’s mission until all children, of all abilities, can play together. For her extraordinary leadership by example, we are proud to present Allison with our Woman of Inspiration Award.
JERRI HEMSWORTH

Jerri Hemsworth, CEO and Creative Director of Newman Grace Inc., has been a visionary in helping to shape Shane's Inspiration's marketing and branding for nearly a decade. Jerri spearheaded the recent rebranding of Shane's Inspiration, and has helped create the visual "identity" of Shane's for many years. Jerri is a former president of the National Association of Women Business Owners (Ventura Country chapter and NAWBO/California), has been active in the "universal preschool" movement, and has lobbied on behalf women business owners on both national and state legislation. Jerri is also passionate about working with non-profits. She recently launched Grace Non-Profit Communications, a subsidiary of Newman Grace Inc. focusing specifically on assisting non-profit organizations, and she is the author of the popular blog "Building the Non-Profit Brand." For years, Jerri has generously donated thousands of hours of her services pro bono to Shane’s Inspiration. For creating a unique marketing vision that has allowed Shane’s Inspiration to impact communities they would have never had a chance to reach and for bringing this under-addressed, yet essential, need to the non-profit community, we joyfully honor Jerri with our Woman of Inspiration Award.
